TALGO : A New Arrival

Talgo is one of the leading companies in Spanish railway sector , started in 1941. Talgo is running almost all around the world and now in INDIA. TRIALS

     Talgo 9 series coaches arrived in India for the trial run and successfully completed the first set up trial between Bareilly and Muradabad and then back on 29th may 2016. First trial was done with a maximum speed of 80 kmph .

Second trial took place on 30 may 2016 with a little increase in speed i.e 90 kmph. The trails carried out till 12 june 2016 with gradual increase in speed upto 120 kmph. The second phase of trial will be conducted on Mathura-Palwal section. These trails will be done at a maximum speed of 180 kmph.

Third phase will take place on MUMBAI DELHI ROUTE with max. speed of 150 kmph. This trial will give a proper information that how much time , energy and cost could be saved by IR.

•  These are lighter in weight than Indian  conventional coaches by 20%.
•  It would save upto Rs 1 crore compared to the LHB coaches used in Rajdhani and Shatabdi trains.
